Shooting Sports Tops List of Expansion Priorities in 2012
As part of our “Let’s Go Outdoors” Youth Educational and Leadership Program, we are committed to Shooting Sports, Archery and Fishing. These three areas, specifically shooting sports, has the potential to hold the key in recruiting and retaining youth inside the vast options within the Outdoors world. It is with excitement that FCA Outdoors has chosen shooting sports as the first expansion within these sports. From the campus to clubs and group and individual instruction to instructor and volunteer certifications and training, the ministry is poised to provide a full menu of opportunities in Shooting Sports. With Biblical based leadership principles as part of the overall implementation, the ability to minister to and through Coaches /Instructors will be strongly enhanced through the “Guide Certification Program.” As part of this program coaches/instructors and volunteers will be trained in Coaching 3-D around spiritual concepts and have opportunity as needed to be certified through the NRA/USAS Shotgun Class and the Positive Coaching Alliance through the Double Gold Coach Class. In addition, online support will be provided through FCA Outdoors partnership with the School of Outdoor Sports and the American Sport Education Program . Look for this program coming to a community near you in 2012.
